Our company is now more than pools and spas; it’s a lifestyle. Krevco Lifestyles Inc. is the new company, which has evolved from the Krevco name, familiar to Winnipeggers for the past quarter century. The company was purchased from the Kreviazuk family by Don Carson and Craig Gatzlaff in October of 2006.

We have a number of divisions to cater to a customer’s every lifestyle need. For those with an existing pool, Krevco Renu-A-Pool is their pool restoration division, ready to install new pool liners and also do upgrades, such as steps to bring a more modern feel to your pool. We are proud to introduce to Krevco Lifestyles Embers Fireplaces and more.

Among many products that make Krevco a unique company, we carry a spa with a built-in home theatre system, perfect for the backyard or inside the home. We sell outside fireplaces, complete outdoor kitchens including fridge, sink, stove, and barbecue, gazebos, decks, concrete patios and more. A beautiful pergola, complete with stone pillars with a lattice overhead, can define an area for outdoor relaxing, cooking and socializing.

“It’s like creating a big living room in your backyard; the perfect place to spend time with family and friends,” says Gatzlaff, vice-president and managing partner. Krevco is bringing the STS Masterspa — the only spa theatre system in the country to western Canada. It includes a 15 to 17 inch LCD TV and surround sound with DVD player, to be enjoyed while relaxing in the spa. It’s waterproof and can be installed indoors or out.

For ultimate customer service, Krevco will be opening a call centre in Winnipeg, to support all of its customers. It will also be their base to sell a selection of products via television advertisements, to be aired across Canada shortly. The TV product sales side of things is called North American Lifestyle Direct, and it will feature lifestyle products never before sold on television.

Krevco Lifestyles is a huge undertaking, but Gatzlaff and Carson say they are in it for the long haul. They expect to bring their young children into the business as they grow up. While Carson did well bringing Bowflex to all of Canada, Gatzlaff ran a $300 million US division of two publicly traded companies in the USA for 15 years. In eight years, he reached $2.5 billion in sales.

“The stability and longevity of a business is not lost on me,” says Gatzlaff. “Now I am reaching out to the lifestyle concept. No other company offers it like we can. Everyone works hard and they should enjoy life. We are catering to the baby boomers who want to enjoy life, but also to hard working families.”

Carson was born and raised in Winnipeg. Gatzlaff is a Canadian, and has brought his family home to Canada from Portland, Oregon, to make Winnipeg their home as he and his partners pursue this business venture. We are providing stability for the future,” says Carson. “This is a long-term project for us. We want this to be a company that people are proud to work for. We are family folks. We want our kids to grow up in this company.”
